Introducing RAP Ape #1: ApeSwap

Runes Terminal recently launched the Runes Accelerator Program, designed to nurture star developers working in Runes to deliver their utility to the crypto public first. Applications have poured in, and we are proud to announce our first successful candidate, ApeSwap.

ApeSwap is an EVM-compatible AMM for Runes designed to help bridge multichain liquidity into Runes Protocol. Put simply, it’s a DEX for Runes. It features an ultra-simple UI that abstracts away the runic mysteries involved and instead makes it as easy to trade the latest fungible tokens on Bitcoin as it is to trade tokens on Uniswap. When a user executes a trade, Runes are automatically unwrapped and sent to their wallet.

We liked that ApeSwap shares Runes Terminal’s goal — making Runes easy for the end user, and the focus creating a path for ERC-20 and other tokens to be used to trade for runic satoshis. $SWAPE users & holders will enjoy no-fee trading, earn yield, trade in style, and access Runes airdrops. Its ambitious goal to be the de facto decentralised and non-custodial marketplace is a horse to back — and we are happy to accelerate it to market.

As part of their place in the accelerator, we will support the building of ApeSwap, connect them to our network, and even supply liquidity and enhanced access to RunesTerminal’s yet-to-be-released products. With our help, we hope to have ApeSwap ready for trading shortly, and to unleash a tidal wave of liquidity on Runes. When we say we want to support our developers, we mean it.
